- Save, organize, search, and reuse code through the app, Share Extension, and custom keyboard.
- Works offline. iCloud sync uses the system Apple Account and the private CloudKit database. No separate Shelf login.
- Shelf has no developer-operated content server, but it is not a cryptographic zero-knowledge service. Device storage, Apple iCloud, support email, exports, and ordinary hosting requests are separate processing paths.
- Free: up to 7 snippets, unlimited on-device suggestions, iCloud sync, Share Extension, keyboard, two syntax themes, and Shelf-marked code-card exports.
- Pro: unlimited snippets, all six themes, custom accents and watermarks, full history, smart collections, device-authenticated private vault, pinned-snippet widgets, and optional GitHub Gist export.
- Pro is offered monthly or yearly through Apple. Do not invent prices or guarantee trial eligibility. Lifetime sales are currently paused.
- Apple Intelligence requires eligible hardware and iOS 26+. Other devices use editable offline Basic suggestions. No suggestion quota on any plan.
- The keyboard requires Full Access for shared local storage and explicit paste control. It makes no network requests and never logs host keystrokes. Secure fields and some apps may block it.
- The vault is an authentication gate, not a separately encrypted database.
- Deletion: Settings → Profile → Delete All Shelf Data. Cloud errors can require retry; no signed-in iCloud account means device-only deletion. Subscriptions, exports, Gists, and Apple backups are managed separately.
- Existing snippets remain readable, editable, copyable, exportable, and usable in the keyboard after Pro ends; new saves and Pro feature activation are limited.
- The website keyboard is an illustration using sample code, not a hosted Shelf library.
- No app analytics or advertising SDKs. The website has no cookies, tracking, external fonts, or browser storage. Its hosting provider receives ordinary web requests.
